Station 24 Rescue was dispatched Saturday April 26, 2008 at 22:32 for an ATV accident to the rear of a residence on Fairmount Road. First Responder/Special Operations 24-59 arrived on scene first and determined through communication with Patrol on scene that the victim was located approximately ¼ mile behind the residence down an embankment next to a pond. 24-59 made it’s way to the trail above the embankment and provided needed light via it’s light tower and commenced patient assessment. BLS 24-51 arrived on scene and staged at the street in front of the residence with members walking in additional equipment to immobilize the patient for transport. The patient was carried to the top of the embankment placed in 24-59 for short transport to BLS 24-51 where patient was loaded and taken to definitive care facility.
